Lin Research Group @ NUS studies soft matter and biointerface engineering. We investigate how soft materials interact with living systems and use these interactions to guide material and device design. Our work spans liquid metal composites, hydrogels, and living soft matter, including bacteria and tissues.
Our research develops along three connected directions: adaptive bioelectronics for health monitoring, soft materials for tissue repair, and microbial biohybrids for sustainable chemical production. By connecting material structure and function with biological interactions, we seek to improve how engineered systems operate alongside and communicate with living systems.
